Building Bridges Through Empathy, Experience, and Understanding.

About Us
At CoPeers, we believe in the power of compassion and connection to support growth and healing. Guided by empathy and respect, we empower Peer Supporters to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing mental health and behavioral challenges.
Our Peer Specialists understand the journey of resilience and recovery because they’ve faced similar challenges. They connect with individuals by sharing their experiences, fostering understanding, and inspiring hope.

Our Mission
At CoPeers, our mission is to harness compassion and lived experience to empower Peer Supporters in fostering connection, understanding, and hope for those on their journey to growth and healing."
Peer Support Service
The Peer Support Services program is a preventative mental health program under the NYS Office of Mental Health designed to improve and support people with emotional and behavioral well-being.
Peer Support Services are individualized services provided by certified Peer Specialists to assist individuals facing social or emotional life challenges. Using their own experiences, Peer Specialists teach skills and offer encouragement to help others build meaningful lives in their communities.
Numerous research studies have indicated that when added as a primary service to treatment, Peer Specialists/Advocates play a significant role in improving health and wellness, because of their ability to build trust, form one-to-one relationships, and foster hope for others.
